History of Blackford Fiddle Group Gigs

We have stopped counting how many gigs BFG has played over the years. The number exceeds 500, but by how much doesn't really matter.  These gigs include many played by all the members to entertain audiences at residential homes, to clubs, societies, womens' institutes and at concerts, and ceilidhs for community and private functions. The venues have included big halls, small halls, private houses, pubs and clubs, the open air and places as far away as the south of France. 

Since 2001 we have mantained a record of every gig we have played and they are all listed below.  We may have missed one or two

BFG has a very successful ceilidh band as well as groups of players who do other events. If you are interested in booking BFG for your event go to the contact page for details.

Why we play gigs

We play gigs as an outlet for the skills we acquire, to entertain people, to have fun and to raise funds.
