What we do on Fridays
The Friday sessions are about learning tunes
together, practising what we know, playing for fun
and sometimes for workshops and more formal
classes. There is no need to feel that you
have to come every week, although it is obviously
great if you can. Members pay £1 (adults) or
50p (under 18s) only on the weeks that they come
along. There are no other fees. We have
music books for sale to members.
Friday practices and sessions
BFG meets almost every Friday from 7.00 pm
onwards. These sessions are for members and are
held at the Moray Institute (the Hall) and
occasionally at the Blackford Hotel. Sometimes
because of holidays and gigs we have to cancel the
Friday session.
We are grateful to the Blackford Hotel for
lending us their function room for free. If they
get a late booking we may have to move back to
the hall at the last minute. Check this page for
details.
In bad weather we normally manage to keep things
running but if for any reason we have to cancel
we will try to put a notice here before 6.00 pm
on the Friday. If in doubt phone (see contacts).
Members can get
the current tune learning list here.
(This is a pdf file - you will need Acrobat Reader
or other pdf software - and it should open
in a new window.) NO LIST AT THE MOMENT
